Description
Fields: The vineyards are located in Benissa, in the Marina Alta (Alicante) about 150 metres above sea level.
The native grapes of “Giró” are grown up at the area called “Benimarraig” which is located at less than 4 kilometres from the
Mediterranean sea having a great influence from it.
The soils are chalky white.
Giró 100%, a native variety from the Marina Alta. Small production of 2.500kg per hectare.
The climatic conditions of the region, close to the Mediterranean sea, provide to the variety special and unique characteristics.
Elaboration:
The harvest of each plot takes place at the appropiate moment when grapes are ripped enough to obtain the maximum
expresion of the Giró variety in order to make expresssive, intense and concentrated wines. Handpicked grapes into 10kg stora ge
boxes. It take s place during the third and fourth week of September.
The fermentation takes place spontaniously in amphora pots without adding any kind of yeasts or bacteria. No additives or correc-tions are made. The wine remained during 12 months in the amphora pots for a natural stabilization.
CAECV Organic Agriculture Certificate. No sulfites added. Natural wine. Date of bottling: 11th of September 2021.
Tasting notes
Sensory characteristics:
Cherry red, very clean and crystal clear. Perfumed, floral with cherry and cassis fruit notes. Feeling of
freshness and sweet fruit in mouth, good balance and silkiness, An elegant wine, wide and light.
Wine paring:
Meat with sauce, stew or just a wine to drink on its own.
